All Camp Weeks are for children Ages 7-11

WEEK 1 French ~ June 7-11 8:30AM – 12:30PM

WEEK 2 Spanish ~ July 14-18  8:30AM – 12:30PM

WEEK 3 World Cultures ~ July 21-25  8:30AM – 12:30PM

The format of the Immersion Week includes the study of a different country each day where the target language is the country’s’ first spoken language. We begin the day with introductions, greetings and typical daily conversations. One typical art activity from the "country of the day" is presented each morning. This is a native art project. Students also learn to prepare and cook a typical snack food that we eat after our morning recess. Games, songs, puzzles, paper artwork, worksheets and flags also are a part of the day’s activities.

World Cultures Week ~ This program will be conducted in English and will also cover a "country of the day" format. Daily format will be as above in the Immersion camp weeks 1 &2 with cultural arts and food preparation. Students create a "World Cultures Museum" by the week’s end.

Cheryl Berman, a NH certified language teacher, will present the three weeks of programs. This is not a school-sponsored program although all classes will be held at the MHT Elementary School. Enrollment limited to 14 students per week.
